After he graduated in 1990, Eduardo first gained experience as an Assistant Manager at InterContinental Hotels in Brazil . “I had 420 people below me. I had a lot of practical experience from Les Roches, but I was fighting too much with people,” he remembers.
After learning a lot at InterContinental, Eduardo left to set up a restaurant with his best friend, Mario. He was 26 when he opened his first restaurant, a year later they had seven restaurants and by 30, he met serious difficulties on his entrepreneur path.
Today, however, Eduardo is a very successful franchise owner, with Spoleto achieving $394.5m in revenue in 2017, creating 10,000 jobs and serving over 30 million customers.
